For over three years Winterwood have been practitioners in the deep listening, and meditational experiences of sound baths.
From their epic 3CD set 'The Meditation Loops' and now with 'The Silent and Beyond', they employ these minimalist techniques, stretching their creative wings, and taking a deep dive into a slow moving, meditative, and encompassing atmosphere of swirling organs, layered violins, and field recordings.

Living next to the eponymous sea - Vesterhavet (The West Sea) is the danish name for the North Sea - I can confirm that Tobias Hellkvist wonderfully captures this restless sea in some of its more tranquil moods. Compares favourably to John Luther Adams magnificent work, 'Become Ocean', although more soothing and becalming than overwhelming.
